When the second Lacroix generation joins the company, at the beginning of the 1980s, Baronet undergoes a change to a more design-conscious and global market-oriented approach.

In the early 1980s, Vell Hubel and Ivan Lacroix team up to design contemporary collections for children. Next, inspired by popular Scandinavian design trends, they create a line of contemporary style home furnishings.

In 1987, the first Baronet permanent showroom opens at the International Home Furnishings Market in High Point, North Carolina.
